The award winning recipe for The Texas Gypsies sound is to perform the “Vintage Jazzy Swingin" cool hep cat sounds of the Great Gatsby era 1920's, plus a mix of the Big Band Swing sound of the 1930's and 40’s, add in a taste of its sister sound, Western Swing, sprinkle some Django style Gypsy Jazz over the top and finally finish up with a pinch of Retro Deco Rockabilly! The band mixes passionate violin, a blazing horn section, rockin-swingin’ guitars, slappin’ upright bass, and retro style drumming to harmoniously create their own unique, classy and fun sound!

Since 2004 The Texas Gypsies have performed their unique, lively and fun show all over the world. Performing for concerts, festivals, private events, weddings and more! They have several options and shows they can do for events. One is a concert stage show that travels to cities all over the world. They also do music for private events, corporate functions, and fundraisers. Texas Gypsies have performed for many theme-based shows like Gatsby parties, roaring 20’s, WWII 1940's Big Band era and even Western themed events!

The band is versatile in both music styles (from jazz, to rock to country, etc.) and in the size of the group performing from a solo musician, intimate trio, to a Big Band with horn section and more! We can play a variety of styles and from 1920' songs for Gatsby Parties to BIG BAND swing standards (Sinatra,Buble), Classic hit songs from 20's-70's, Gypsy Jazz (Django) , WESTERN SWING (Bob Wills), New Orleans Jazz, Classic Rock and Pop, and more! We also add in a female singer for more dance/disco/motown music if needed!

From solo musicians to a 12pc big band, The Texas Gypsies have performed for : concerts, festivals, wedding receptions, corporate events, fundraisers and more. They are able to do both instrumental and vocal music.
